Clear from the start.

Plain-language terms for requesting help and working with FONACY.

Last updated: October 20, 2026.

These terms are written to be read. If anything here is unclear, ask before booking and we will explain it. They are practical service terms, not legal advice.

Service requests

A request sent through the website, by email, text or phone starts a conversation. It does not reserve a time, confirm an appointment or create a charge. FONACY confirms the time, the work, whether it is remote or onsite, the price and any travel charge with you before an appointment is final.

Scope and pricing

The proposed work, equipment, pricing and any onsite travel charge are agreed before work begins. Estimates are based on the information you give us; if the work turns out to be larger than described, we stop and confirm with you before continuing. Changes to the agreed work are discussed and approved before they proceed. Equipment compatibility and the options available depend on your setup. How pricing works explains the structure.

Scheduling, cancellations and missed appointments

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or move an appointment, by text, email or phone. With less notice, or if nobody is available at the agreed time and place, a late-cancellation fee equal to the onsite service-call minimum, or the first hour for a remote session, may be charged. Emergencies happen: tell us what is going on and we will be reasonable. If FONACY has to move an appointment, you will be told as early as possible and no fee applies.

An onsite visit may be reserved with a booking deposit, which is credited to your invoice. With at least 24 hours’ notice the deposit is refunded in full or moved to the new time. With less notice, or if nobody is available at the agreed time and place, the deposit is kept as the late-cancellation fee.

Equipment and special orders

Equipment FONACY supplies is quoted and agreed before it is ordered, and may require payment before ordering. Special-order items cannot be returned once ordered unless they arrive defective; defective items are handled under the manufacturer’s warranty with FONACY’s help. You are always free to buy equipment yourself from the agreed list.

Invoices and payments

Your invoice identifies the work, amounts and payment instructions. Invoices are due on receipt unless the invoice states a due date. You can pay by card or Apple Pay through your private invoice link, processed by Stripe, or by another method shown on the invoice. FONACY never asks for card numbers by email, text or phone. Service appointments that require payment in advance are confirmed once the payment is received. Payment records are reconciled against the actual payment received, not against a link being opened.

Refunds and our workmanship guarantee

Completed work is not refundable, but it is guaranteed: if something FONACY set up stops working within 30 days because of our work, we fix it at no charge. Work that has been paid for but has not started, including a booking deposit, is refunded in full when you cancel with 24 hours’ notice. Where a refund is due, it is returned to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days. Equipment follows the equipment terms above. Diagnostic time is part of the work and is billable even when the outcome is advice rather than a fix.

Appointments, access and your responsibilities

Appointment times are agreed directly with FONACY. You are responsible for having permission to request work on the devices, accounts and property involved, and for telling us about anything we should know before we start. Keep passwords out of messages; access arrangements are agreed securely and removed when the work is done. Back up anything irreplaceable before service. Where FONACY performs a backup it is checked, but no backup method is infallible, and you will be told before any step that carries a risk of data loss, such as resets or migrations.

Keep your invoice link confidential. It provides access to the customer information authorized by that link. Contact FONACY if you believe a link is compromised or invoice information needs correcting.

If something isn’t right

Contact wendell@fonacy.com or (386) 590-3503 first. Most concerns are resolved with a conversation or a return visit. Please raise it with us before opening a card dispute, which freezes the payment and slows everything down. FONACY takes reasonable care with your devices, accounts and data; responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service concerned. These terms are governed by the laws of Florida.
